Chalet Locatif : Générer 10 000$ de plus cet été avec un Moodulo

Rental Chalet: Generate an additional $10,000 this summer with a Moodulo

By the Editorial Team

As the owner of the chalet Le Bohème and several other rental properties, David Santuccione quickly understood an undeniable reality in Quebec: access to water is the number one driver of bookings. Yet, providing a boat to his clients had become his biggest logistical challenge.

Profitability First: An Asset That Pays for Itself

For David, equipment that doesn't generate profit is a burden. He therefore designed Moodulo with one obsession: financial performance.

Last year, I rented my pontoon for about 100 days. At an average of $100 per day, that's **$10,000** in additional revenue. Even with a conservative estimate of 50% occupancy, it's a major income that boosts your overall profitability and pays back the purchase in the first season.

This direct gain is accompanied by a major indirect advantage: a higher occupancy rate. In a competitive market, the "Wow" factor of a private electric pontoon is often what triggers a booking click.

The Invention of a Solution That Didn't Exist

The problem was simple, yet frustrating. All competing pontoons are either heavy, require a trailer, a launch ramp, and constant maintenance. Not to mention managing driver's licenses for renters.

I saw my clients wanting to enjoy the lake, but the solutions on the market were either too complex or too fragile for commercial use. I wanted a boat that I could transport myself in my pickup, assemble myself on my dock in minutes, and most importantly, one that wouldn't cause me any remote management stress. Since it didn't exist, I invented it.

Engineering Designed for Rentals (and the Wallet)

Moodulo's innovation lies in its intelligent standardization. By using the same modules for docks and pontoons, the company manages to break market prices without sacrificing quality.

This approach allows us to produce at scale and eliminate waste. We offer a high-end product at the lowest price on the market, while being more robust than the competition, who often use 2x3s or thin aluminum.

For David, durability is key to long-term profit. Moodulo uses 16-inch floats (50% more buoyancy than standard) and an ultra-rigid 8-inch thick double floor. In case of breakage, each module can be replaced individually, thus avoiding loss of income during peak season.

The "Tesla of the Lakes": Smart Management and Ecology

Key and energy management is often the nightmare of the remote owner. Moodulo has integrated technology to simplify hosts' lives.

We created an On/Off switch system secured by an integrated padlock. You simply send the code to the client who paid for the option via your property management software (PMS). It's 100% autonomous.

Technically, the boat is discreet. The double floor allows for massive lithium battery storage, providing LED lights and USB ports to renters, while respecting the strictest environmental standards. The treated wood used is copper-based, without harmful chemicals, ensuring access to all lakes in Quebec.

Heading into the Season

Moodulo's business model is based on total autonomy: no trailer, no license, and "IKEA-style" assembly that requires no advanced technical skills.

My goal is to help owners maximize their investment. I don't just sell a pontoon, I sell a management solution that pays off.
